Broken Heater :(
Our heater is broken. One would think that if the heater is broken our room would be cold. That is not the case. Our room is really hot and we can't turn the heat down or off. Along with the heat, there is an awful noise coming from it. It sounds like there is a person inside of it that is hammering something. It is VERY annoying and loud. Sometimes it goes away for a little bit and then comes right back. It is so loud that you can hear it from the end of the hall and our neighbors have complained. Someone came to work on it and we got a paper that said work in progress. I hope it doesn't take too long.

i'm glad i can't hear it! i anticipate that happening to a lot of people though. ohhh joy.
The same thing happened to a friend of mine but instead it was their air conditioner. Im not sure which would be worse. Im guessing around fall like this the air conditioner might suck more, but then again you wouldnt have to take your layers off when you came inside.
ReplyDeleteThat was an awful situation! I would rather feel cold than swelter in heat! Well, most homeowners have experienced similar problems. I remember once when our heater broke. All hell broke loose and the room was burning hot. We immediately called a professional to fix it. Now, our heater is working just fine. :-) [Althea Tumlin]
ReplyDeleteOh my, I hope it got fixed right away! Being unable to control the heat is just as annoying with the loud noise you hear. You can try some maintenance techniques to prevent this sort of things from happening. We had our heater broken as well, and the cold was too much to handle. I had to resort to using the oven as a source of heat for a while. Hehe!

So how is it now? I wish it was fixed sooner than later for you and your neighbor’s convenience. It must have been a nightmarish experience for you with the constant pounding of unexplained noise and continuously rising temperature. I experienced a broken heater once. It was awful because I was pretty sure that our room temperature dropped too low. To make matters worse, we had to endure it for a week! I hope yours didn’t take that long!
